Mr. Shyam Nandan Prasad serves as an Independent Director on the Board of the Company. Aged 63, he graduated with a B.Sc (Hons) from Magadh University in 1978 and earned his M.B.A. in Marketing Personnel from Bihar University in 1981. Mr. Prasad embarked on his professional journey as a Management Trainee (Marketing) in Coal India Limited in 1982, where he garnered extensive experience over 38 years.

During his tenure at Coal India Limited, he held the position of Director (Marketing) from 01/02/2016 to 30/11/2019. His expertise in marketing spans diverse areas, including mines, pit heads, coal stock yards, and Corporate Office of subsidiaries. Before assuming the role of Director (Marketing) in Coal India Limited, he worked in various positions, including General Manager (S&M), in CIL subsidiaries such as Central Coalfields Limited, Western Coalfields Limited, and South Eastern Coalfields Limited.

Additionally, Mr. Shyam Nandan Prasad served on the boards of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), and South Eastern Coal Fields Limited (SECL) from 16/02/2016 to 30/11/2019.
