Rainwater Harvesting System
Rainwater harvesting is the collection and storage of rainwater that runs off from rooftops, parks, roads, open fields, etc. This water flow can either be stored or recharged into groundwater. Rainwater harvesting increases water availability during the dry season by increasing the level of dry borewells and wells. The supply of surface water is easily available for various purposes thereby reducing the dependence on ground water. It improves the quality of land by reducing salinity. DBPL has developed 7 rain water harvesting systems.
